Decontamination
Science Institute
Decontamination
Location: Goodyear, AZ
Cost: $330,000.00
Decontamination of identified buildings for residual explosive components via power washing or sweeping. Each building had a specific cleaning methodology and waste container. Collected water from power washing and contained either with sump pumps or vacuum. The highly regulated project, which was an EPA Superfund Site, required the management, cleaning and removal of multiple regulated explosive wastes in the form of residual dusts and fine particles. Specifically, we successfully developed and executed a work plan to decontaminate multiple buildings and structures for residual explosive powders and dusts with vacuuming, power washing and appropriate waste collection and transportation procedures.
Baby Food Production Facility
Decontamination
Location: Casa Grande, Arizona
Cost: $334,820.00
Cleaning of fire and smoke contaminated surfaces in the mechanical shaft, computer room, electrical room, office, two stair wells, level 1 and 2 corridors, elevator shaft and production tower. We also hung fire rated poly on the ceiling of level 7 and deodorized the entire building. We responded to a large scale fire within a 100,000 square foot baby food production facility where extensive soot and smoke residue contamination threatened major losses in production and inventory. We responded to the emergency project with a multi-crew effort that involved deep cleaning exposed surfaces for soot and fine particulates to an FDA acceptance level via wet wiping and HEPA vacuuming within a laboratory and clean room environment. Much of the inventory was salvaged and production losses were minimized.
